FAQ

Supporter membership questions

These answers keep the Phase 1 portal aligned with the supporter-first product boundary and the Supabase/Stripe/Jellyfin source-of-truth hierarchy.

Is this a streaming subscription?

No. Membership supports infrastructure and community operations. Eligible private Jellyfin access is an optional supporter perk and is never sold as access to specific titles or a guaranteed media library.

How is access decided?

Stripe billing events are mirrored into Supabase. The portal derives entitlement from local membership, payment, hold, and admin-review state. Jellyfin only mirrors that server-side decision.

Can I share my access?

No. Each eligible seat maps to one personal account by default, with up to two concurrent Jellyfin streams. Higher support levels help fund operations; they do not buy extra streams, devices, titles, uptime, or media rights.

What happens after payment fails or membership is canceled?

The portal marks the account past due, grace, inactive, canceled, or held depending on Stripe and local review state. Open the Stripe Billing Portal to update billing. Optional Jellyfin access may be paused or disabled; accounts are disabled rather than deleted where practical so recovery is possible.

Can I request a refund or dispute a charge?

Use Stripe and the operator support channel for billing issues. Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks may place optional access on hold while records are reconciled. This staging copy does not promise automatic refunds or legal outcomes; final public language requires business and counsel approval.

What information should I send support?

Send your supporter email, dashboard status, invoice date, setup-link status, and a short non-secret description. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, API keys, private tokens, or unrelated personal information.

Is the system ready for public production launch?

Not yet. Public launch remains gated on legal/rights/privacy review, terms/refund/dispute/revocation approval, public Stripe-label review, webhook reconciliation, backups, monitoring, admin tooling, Jellyfin disable lifecycle testing, secret rotation, and security review.
