Refunds and cancellation — draft operational copy

Billing changes are handled carefully and conservatively.

This internal-staging refund and cancellation copy is not public legal language. It keeps the portal safe while business-owner and counsel review remain required before real public supporter payments.

Cancellation

Stripe Billing Portal handles cancellation, payment-method updates, and invoice access. A canceled membership can continue through the paid period unless a billing-risk, legal, security, acceptable-use, capacity, or operator-safety exception requires earlier pause, hold, or disablement.

Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks

Refund, dispute, and chargeback events are treated conservatively and may place membership or optional private access under admin review. This staging policy does not promise automatic refunds, fixed timelines, or final outcomes.

Optional access impact

A canceled, unpaid, past-due, refunded, disputed, or held membership can lose supporter eligibility and any optional access perk. Higher tiers are voluntary support and do not buy guaranteed titles, extra streams, device rights, uptime, or media access.

Launch review boundary

Final refund language, dispute handling, revocation standards, and public Stripe product copy remain launch gates. Public supporter payments are not approved by this staging copy.
